Wednesday Wellness Words

Without a lot of fanfare and introduction, I bring to you a new weekly journaling activity. Look for Wednesday Wellness Words, well -- each Wednesday.

A simple activity each week to get you journaling...

  1. Set sacred space.

  2. Play soft, relaxing music. Preferably rhythmic drum beats.

  3. Sit comfortably and relax.

  4. Close your eyes. Bring your focus on your breath.

  5. Envision your personal aura and the Light which radiates from it. What color do you see? Allow this color to wash over your whole being -- mind, body, and soul.

  6. Allow your breathing to fall into its natural cadence. How are your breaths?

  7. Are your breaths long and deep?

  8. Are they short and shallow?

  9. Begin to breathe deeply, focusing your mind's attention on the deep breaths.

  10. Breathe in slowly and deeply into your diantian to the count of 7.

  11. Breathe out to the same count of 7.

  12. As you breathe in, draw in the Light and color of your personal aura. Allow the Light to wash down your entire Being, starting with your Crown chakra.

  13. As you exhale, breathe out that which no longer serves you. Allow the Light of your aura to draw the unwanted bits down and out and ground them into Mother Earth.

  14. Take 11 deep breaths in this manner.

  15. Now, open your eyes. Write down one word that is speaking to your soul in this moment. Don't think about what word to write. Just pick up the pen and write one word. You should write the word prominently on the page wherever you are called to write it down. Draw and doodle the word. Embellish it. Emblazon it with colors and glitter and gold.

  16. This is your Wednesday Wellness Word.

What does this word do for you? It is a Lamp Light for your day. A guidepost. A North Star sent to you by the Ancestors to guide your way on YOUR path. Just for today. For this moment. It is what you need right now for Y-O-U and nobody else. It is a gift. Use it for your benefit. Breathe in your Wellness Word and allow it to integrate into your being and Be Well...
